Influence of l-alanine doping on zinc (TRIS) thiourea sulphate (ZTS) single crystals

ZTS has been grown using a slow evaporation technique at ambient temperature, and the l-alanine-doped was likewise prepared. Powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) Vickers’s micro hardness test have all used to analyse growing crystals. Both pure l-Alanine-doped crystals an orthorhombic structure. l-alanine doped had greater second harmonic generation (SHG) conversion efficiency. higher than sample. UV spectral analysis indicates that both excellent visible transmission. Doping with resulted in increase melting point of crystal.Graphical abstract
